ALLBUS/ISSP Survey 2023

In 2023, the General Population Survey of the Social Sciences (ALLBUS) will be conducted for the twenty-fourth time. In addition to the ALLBUS, the German part of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) is also to be surveyed. The ALLBUS 2023 is a mixed-mode study, whereby a subsample F2F with CAPI interviews and a second subsample in the self-administered modes CAWI and Mail are to be carried out. The ISSP is carried out exclusively as a mail self-filler.

The minimum requirements for the implementation of the ALLBUS/ISSP 2023 are: At least 2000 evaluable net cases in the ALLBUS F2F subsample, at least 3000 evaluable net cases in the self-administered mixed-mode subsample and for the ISSP at least 1400 evaluable net cases; nationwide 2-stage disproportional random sample; Residents' registration office sample; Survey duration ALLBUS F2F approx. 70 minutes, ALLBUS self-administered (MAIL/CAWI) approx. 55 min.; Survey duration ISSP written questionnaire approx. 55 min.
