NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a responsive and local service for the provision of online counselling for young people between the ages of 11 and 24. The overall aim is to provide counselling services to children and young people who require direct access to early intervention support and do not meet the criteria set out by the existing Children’s and Young People’s service (CAMHS) but who may nonetheless require immediate help and support for mental health needs.
The service will provide online access to counselling between the hours of 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. In the first instance, this will be ‘drop-in’ online counselling or a booked appointment where assessment of the client’s needs will take place. Following this, clients will be offered continued online or phone support for up to 50 minutes 5 nights a week (Sunday-Thursday) or will be referred on for further/additional services, depending upon the severity of their mental health needs.

NHS Gloucestershire CCG is seeking to enter into a contract with the preferred bidder for an initial period of 3-years with an option to extend for a further 2-year period.
The total contract value stated is for the initial 3-year contract period excluding the extension option of a further 2-year period.
