The town hall of the city of Neubrandenburg consists of a disk-shaped office and administration building with a length of 116 m and a low-rise building. It was built in 1968 in an industrial style, including an office use in the main house and adjoining rooms and meeting places in the subsequent low-rise building.

The main building has 8 floors, a basement, a drift floor directly under the flat roof and has four necessary stairwells and 5 elevators.

Access to the storeys is via a central corridor from which the rooms can be accessed.

The building is being renovated in terms of energy and pollutants, receives a new metal facade with facade insulation, a renewal of the electrical and heating system and provides for a renewal of the sanitary facilities and floor coverings, a paintwork overhaul of all rooms and the necessary pollution remediation.
