Wicklow County Council established a Framework for the provision of civil and structural engineering services for projects various projects with construction works each worth approximately €1 million (ex. VAT) in value.
The projects on the framework vary considerably in terms of their scope. Some may be one off building inspection by a C&S Engineer, others may be demolition projects and others may include be structural repair and restoration works that require a C&S Engineer to lead a Design Team.
As part of the service delivery, framework members will be required to provide the following mandatory specialist services using their resources:
• Civil and Structural Engineering Design Team (Team Lead)
• Assigned Certifier
• Design Certifier
• PSDP/Health and Safety
• Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Senior Electrical Engineer
• Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Senior Architect
• Resident Engineer
• Planning (Application) Consultant

Framework members will be required to provide civil and structural engineering services and other associated services for stages (i) - (v) of the Capital Works Management Framework or a subset thereof.

The IDT (Integrated Design Team) will be managed and Led by the Engineering Consultant and will relate primarily to civil and structural engineering projects in the built environment including projects such as existing or new-build commercial buildings, warehouses, sheds, houses, structures for demolition, repairs or refurbishment and enabling works for other related projects.
This list is not exhaustive and may extend to design of roads, dams, footpaths and other civil structures as required by Wicklow County Council.
