The subject of the procedure is planning services of fire protection according to AHO issue 17, service phases 1 to 9 (standard services and partly optional services), for the extension of the Lessinggymnasium in Braunschweig.
,
The project includes the extension of the Lessinggymnasium for the planned and already implemented five-class system, taking into account the space requirements that arise with the reintroduction of the Abitur after 13 school years (G9).
The school property of the Lessinggymnasium is located in the district of Wenden. The area for the extension is located north of the existing building. A 1st construction phase with three storeys in timber panel construction has already been built here. For a grammar school that will be run in five classes in all school years in the future, the Lessinggymnasium lacks general classrooms (AUR) and differentiation rooms. There is a lack of spatial resources in the field of natural sciences, and the existing areas must be reserved for the natural sciences of biology and chemistry. For physics, new spatial resources are to be created in the extension.
,
The new extension is to be erected as a structural timber construction, walls/ceilings and façade components made of wood. The foundations, floor slab as well as the cores and the elevator shaft are to be made of reinforced concrete to stiffen the overall structure. The new building is to be directly connected to the 1st construction phase to form a single building.
The rededications in the existing building relate primarily to a pedagogically sensible arrangement of subject teaching and administration rooms.
,
The construction of the buildings to be planned is planned in accordance with the BEG NWG 40 standard of KfW. The corresponding minimum energy requirements are to be implemented by the contractors in their planning. The use of a photovoltaic system and green roofs are mandatory elements of sustainable construction.
