Project management RWTH Aachen, redevelopment Karman Auditorium
The Kármán Auditorium dates back to 1977 and was taken out of service with the completion of the new auditorium center in Aachen in 2016. This applies to all lecture halls and the cafeteria. In consultation with the user, the auditorium building should be renovated in accordance with a 1: 1 repair and be returned to the original use of the current state of the art. The building is a historical monument. Although the building is vacant, it is used by the RWTH in the directly adjacent German Studies. According to pollutant remediation concept pollutants were found. The building services are networked across buildings and must be renewed during operation.
