The district of Kassel is planning to rebuild and expand the Käthe Kollwitz School in Hofgeismar. The school, which focuses on mental development and a department for physical and motor development, is to be renovated and expanded in three construction phases. The work takes place while school is running.

The roof insulation and waterproofing on the 1-storey classroom wing will be completely demolished and replaced by a new structure with a green roof. In the course of the work, 29 flat roof windows will be replaced. The remaining skylight openings are closed. The area is about 2,000m2
