Tyresö Municipality procures a framework agreement with a supplier with a wide range of products for continuous call-offs of books and audiobooks with and without library equipment. The framework agreement is primarily intended to be used by the municipality's public libraries and compulsory school libraries, but can also be used by the municipality's other activities.

The annual purchase price for the municipality's public library during the previous year has been about SEK 900,000 excluding VAT, or about 4,000 books. The books are mainly delivered with library equipment. We estimate that purchasing needs during the contract period will be at approximately the same level.

The annual purchase price for the municipality's school libraries and other preschool and school activities or other municipal activities has been approximately SEK 900,000 excluding VAT. Books are mainly delivered without library equipment. We estimate that purchasing needs during the contract period will be at approximately the same level.

The framework agreement does not cover the purchase of:

• e-literature or streaming of online books;• printed or digital teaching materials (pedagogical texts intended for use in organised school education);• newspapers and magazines;• multimedia (e.g. music, films, electronic games).

Agreement Term

The framework agreement is valid for four years from the start of the agreement. From 12 months after the start of the agreement, the municipality has the right to terminate the agreement with three months' notice. Planned contract start: 2023-12-03.
