The city of Cuxhaven announces a framework agreement with its trading partner for the purchase of Microsoft licenses for its organizational units and other facilities, based on the framework contracts between the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Home (BMI) and Microsoft.
In addition to the procurement of licenses, the subject matter of the order includes other services related to the purchase of the licenses, in particular comprehensive license advice.
The basic term of the framework agreement is 36 months (1.6.2020-31.5.2023) with a one-time extension option for a further 12 months (31.5.2024).
The city of Cuxhaven intends to conclude a framework agreement with a trading partner for the purchase of Microsoft licenses for its organizational units and other facilities from 1.6.2020.
The framework agreement is based on the condition contracts or follow-up contracts
- Master contract (business and service agreement - MPSA);
- Enterprise Agreement (EA);
- Select Plus license agreement that was agreed between the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the BMI and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Microsoft).
The future contractor supports the city of Cuxhaven with the authorization as a Microsoft trading partner Licensing Solution Partner (LSP) in all matters relating to the purchase of Microsoft products and services.
The contractor has to provide the following services as an LSP for the client Stadt Cuxhaven:
- Use of Microsoft's various volume license agreements taking advantage of the special conditions for the civil service;
- Advice on the various license models, as well as the options for optimizing the license models, also in connection with possible successor contracts or through program extensions (add-ons) during the contract period;
- other services related to the use of Microsoft products.
The framework agreement has a term of 36 months with an option to extend by 12 months.
