Brussels Airport Company (BAC) and 25 other companies that work at the airport make daily use of the trunking facilities (approximately +/- 1 300 aircraft) for both airside and landside operations (eg fire brigade, security, landside, and passengers services). Additional devices are required during unforeseen circumstances, such as during winter operations (around 40 additional devices).
To implement the new Push-to-talk solution at the airport, BAC needs a new infrastructure (backbone, antennas and cabling infrastructure) including the devices. The service must be available 24/7, even if public 3G / 4G and WiFi fail.
