DB Bahnbau Group GmbH is a DB AG company and, with approximately 3,500 employees, provides construction services primarily for railway infrastructure companies (EIU). TE Recycling in particular, as a certified waste management company, accepts concrete sleepers from DB Netz AG's rail network at six locations throughout Germany.

Some of the used concrete sleepers delivered are workable and can be reused for DB Netz AG's route network or for industrial glue connections.

A semi-automatic processing plant must be produced for the reconditioning of concrete sleepers of types B70 and B90. The contractor's (AN) scope of duties includes planning, design, production, delivery, installation and commissioning of the mechanical plant of a concrete sleeper processing plant (BSAA).

This service description describes the functional requirements for a plant for reconditioning and testing concrete sleepers at the Hanover-Leinhausen site. Various workstations or production steps must be integrated in this process. It includes the machine-technical part of the turnkey system delivery and is used by suppliers to provide detailed quotations.

The reprocessing includes the following work steps:

- disassembly

- Threshold cleaning and quality inspection

- dowel expansion

- dowel installation

- Size measurement (electronic and/or by hand)

- Tops

- Preparing the sleeper screws with Elaskon

- Screwing the sleeper screws to the pre-assembly position

- marking of concrete sleepers (plant & date)

- Measuring - the reclaimed concrete sleeper

The scope of delivery also includes complete conveyor technology, including storage for concrete sleepers, plant control and worker guidance, extraction facilities, lighting, small iron disposal systems, dowel residues and waste, material adjustment and logistics racks, safety technology, industrial trucks, revving tools and insertion tools and other tools and aids.
