The contract includes foundation and concrete work for the foundation of a new accumulator tank as specified in the attached documents in AFB.32. Depth to rock according to performed rock probing varies between 9.5–12.5 meters from existing ground level. Existing ground level varies between +195,645 and +195,830 according to documents in AFB.32. The foundation is piled with RD steel pipe piles that are filled with concrete according to the contractor's instructions. See documents in AFB.32.
Installation of equipotential bonding/earthing of concrete reinforcement including embedded contact plates or equivalent connection point to external down conductors is included in the contract, see the earthing basis in AFB.32. Grounding material is delivered by the Customer.
The design of the accumulator tank's attachment to the foundation is not clear as the accumulator tank has not yet been procured and will be supplemented with building control documentation by the accumulator's supplier.
Excavation and backfilling are carried out in other construction as well as draining layers of macadam and geotextile.
The accumulator tank project includes a technical building (Service Room) where the building itself is included in the accumulator supply. A cast concrete slab for the building may need to be performed in this contract. Option on the concrete slab is given in the tender.
