The district of Lower Franconia plans to renew the heating centre at the Lohr am Main district hospital site.
Heat is supplied to the individual buildings on the hospital premises via a local heating network. The connection must be taken into account when planning the new heating centre.
A feasibility study, including a previous inventory analysis, shows that renewing the heating centre as part of replacing existing boilers is the most economical solution.
The goal is to increase the biomass share of wood chip heating in conjunction with modern gas boiler technology. To achieve this, the construction of a new technical building is required. The total output of the new heating centre is planned to be 5,400 kW.
The construction project is planned in 2 construction phases:
- BA 1 = New boiler house for gas boilers
- BA 2 = Renovation of old boiler house with new wood chip boilers
The preliminary estimated production costs amount to approximately €4.57 million gross (KG 200 — 500)
