Fortum Oslo Varme’s (FOV) energy recycling plant at Klemetsrud is responsible for approx. 14 % of Oslo's CO2 emissions, and FOV is participating in the competition for state support for construction and operation of a CO2 catchment plant in order to reduce the city's emissions.

This request is for ground works and foundations for a carbon catchment plant and temporary storage at Klemetsrud as well as a terminal at Oslo Port (Kneppeskjær). FOV owns the plant and will the contracting party for the works. The request concerns an execution contract (NS-8405).

The project will be divided into three locations with associated primary activities:

1) capture plant at Klemetsrud

• demolition of the administration building,

• clearing of vegetation,

• blasting rock and securing cuttings,

• removal and transport of matter,

• Levelling of mountain,

• ditches for surface water management,

• construction of foundations,

• construction of concrete ditches for electrics,

• development of spaces and roads,

• fencing;

2) temporary storage and loading stations at Klemetsrud

• demolition of the existing building on the bus site,

• blasting rock and securing cuttings,

• excavation and preparation of ground,

• foundations,

• development of spaces and roads,

• fencing;

3) temporary storage and export installation at Kneppeskjærskaia, Oslo Port

• demolition of warehouse/workshop (Skur 89),

• excavation and preparation of ground,

• foundations for equipment,

• development of spaces and roads,

• fencing.
