The city of Neckarsulm intends to award the planning and turnkey construction of the Neckarsulm school on the site of the old indoor swimming pool in Pichterichstrasse in Neckarsulm.

The 4.5-speed composite school is the first model in Baden-Württemberg to combine 3 secondary school types under one roof: Werkrealschule, Realschule and community school.

The city of Neckarsulm intends to award the planning and turnkey construction of the Neckarsulm school on the site of the old indoor swimming pool in Pichterichstrasse in Neckarsulm.

The 4.5-speed composite school is the first model in Baden-Württemberg to combine 3 secondary school types under one roof: Werkrealschule, Realschule and community school. The learning offer should show great openness to modern learning concepts. The room program for the school should include a maximum program area of 5,900 square meters.

In addition to the construction of the new building, the planned measures include the replacement of the abandoned Sulmturnhalle by a three-part ball sports hall.

The new building is to be constructed in such a way that it meets the requirements of contemporary teaching and that the structural requirements for a school with all-day operation for pupils and teachers and the provision of flexible room designs are created. The structural implementation is intended to promote free, independent work.

The construction work and the commissioning phase (including adjustment of the building services) must be completed by June 2024 at the latest.

The award procedure is carried out in the form of a combined "planning and building" procedure using a so-called "two-turn procedure".

With the implementation of the overall allocation of construction and planning services, the city of Neckarsulm expects an offer that is coordinated in terms of planning, construction and economy, which guarantees cost and schedule security and an offer for the planning and implementation of measures for the Verbundschule at a very early stage and also offers a high degree of flexibility.

The city of Neckarsulm should provide a gross budget of up to EUR 40 million for the realization of the project. The amount should be undercut and includes all additional costs. The client reserves the right to abolish the award procedure should it become apparent in the procedure that the budgetary resources intended to be made available will be exceeded.
