County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) is looking to contract for rental of adhoc
Bariatric Equipment. The Trust is 1 of the largest integrated care providers in England, serving a
population of around 600 000 people. CDDFT provides Acute services at 2 sites which are Darlington
Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. Core services at each of these sites include
Accident and Emergency; acute medicine, critical care; emergency and planned surgery; orthopaedics; women
and children's services and a full range of support, diagnostic services and outpatients. The Trust also
provides local hospital services within the community at Bishop Auckland General Hospital, Shotley Bridge
Community Hospital, Chester-Le-Street Community Hospital, Richardson Community Hospital, Weardale
and Sedgefield Community Hospital and 80 other community based locations, as well as providing care in
patients' homes. CDDFT is looking to source a supplier to provide rental of Bariatric moving and handling
equipment which will include the following products: Bariatric Bed, Bariatric Static Mattress, Bariatric
Dynamic Mattress, Bariatric Seat Cushions, Bariatric Gantry Hoist, Bariatric Sling, Bariatric bed side chairs,
Bariatric attendant controlled shower/commode chair specification. The contract will be for 24 months with
