The 4 operating subsidiaries of Abellio GmbH operate rail passenger transport in Germany. Various trainsets (eg Bombardier Talent 2, Stadler FLIRT and FLIRT 3, Stadler KISS, Alstom Coradia LINT) of different sizes are used in different regions. In order to reduce the energy consumption of up to 202 vehicles driven by around 900 train drivers, Abellio is writing a framework agreement for delivery, adaptation, introduction (including training), operation, hosting, development and maintenance of a driver assistance system for energy-saving driving. The system is expected to be gradually implemented in the various operating subsidiaries and transport networks in the years 2020 to 2022.

The Abellio GmbH writes a framework agreement for the delivery, the adaptation, the introduction (including training measure), the operation, the maintenance, the hosting and the further development of a driver assistance system to the energy-saving driving style. The contract will be awarded to the most economical offer. If necessary, the respective commissioning is carried out on a case-by-case basis from the framework agreement on a project-specific basis for the respective network of the subsidiary.
