Brenslefjellet nature reserve is protected for the purpose of preserving the deciduous forest in the area. In 2020, funds have been set aside for logging in the nature reserve with the purpose of removing spruce from the Brenslefjellet nature reserve. The spruce shall be cut down to provide better framework conditions for the deciduous forest which is the basis for the protection plan.
