NHS SBS on behalf of NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (The CCG) wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced providers to submit tenders for a new Community Ophthalmology Service in Salford.
The Service is designed to meet the needs of the Salford registered population, ensuring that patients can access the right level of care in the right setting.
The main aims of the Service will be the assessment and management of patients whose eye conditions are at low risk of deterioration who are either referred by primary care for assessment or discharged from secondary care for monitoring.

The contract duration will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years (1-year + 1-year).
Please note, as this will be a zero value contract, the highest value quoted in this notice is based on indicative activity levels. Whilst the CCG may publish its expectations in regard to the current and future demand for the Service, it explicitly offers no guarantee of any levels of activity or income through the Contract and to the successful Provider.
The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). As such, the procurement of the Service is being run as a single-stage application process applying the Open Procedure.
