Description:
DP2D - Dismantling of the Pool Hall, Integrated Machine and DPM Bottle by Saint-Laurent A1

The service is part of the Saint-Laurent A1 out-of-caisson electromechanical dismantling project (phase 5 - INB n°46).

It is divided into two batches and consists of carrying out:

- LOT 1: the electromechanical dismantling of the premises of the Saint-Laurent A1 Swimming Pool Hall,

- LOT 2: the dismantling of the Saint-Laurent A1 Integrated Machine and DPM Bottle.

DP2D - Electromechanical dismantling of the premises of the Saint-Laurent A1 swimming pool hall

The service is part of the Saint-Laurent A1 out-of-caisson electromechanical dismantling project (phase 5 - INB n°46).

The main challenges of the service are: safety with the control of containment and discharges, safety and radiation protection, and the control of the production and flow of waste packages.

LOT 1 : HALL PISCINE SLA1

The pool building houses a pool hall with the pools, as well as ancillary rooms on the periphery of the hall. There are 4 basins, all with a depth of 7.4 metres: pre-storage basin, de-mining basin, various storage basins and long-term storage basins.

There is also an additional cell (the castle rinsing basin) in which tank 70 (the tank that received the concentrates from the treatment of pool water) is currently attached. There is also an evapo-concentration station in room 5HK0502 to the east of the hall; This installation is essentially composed of an evaporator equipped with its collection, a tank for collecting concentrates (tank 70), a tank of demineralized water, pumps, pipes for distillates and concentrates (and taps) and a sampling chamber.

Electromechanical equipment is also present in the peripheral areas of the pool hall.

The purpose of the service is to carry out design studies, execution studies, manufacturing and supply, testing and dismantling work on all of this electromechanical equipment (including the evaporator and tank 70).

Fluid systems were drained as part of the decommissioning; However, residual effluents may remain at the low points of the circuits, particularly in tank 70, for which the risk of the presence of sludge is not excluded, despite the flushing phase carried out during the emptying operations in 2016.

The estimated waste is as follows: 36 tons of TFA waste, 45 tons of FAMA waste.

DP2D - Dismantling Integrated Machine and DPM Cylinder from Saint-Laurent A1

The service is part of the Saint-Laurent A1 out-of-caisson electromechanical dismantling project (phase 5 - INB n°46).

The main challenges of the service are: safety with the control of containment and discharges, safety and radiation protection, and the control of the production and flow of waste packages.

LOT 2: INTEGRATED MACHINE and DPM SLA1 BOTTLE

The integrated machine (about 450 tons) and the DPM cylinder (about 100 tons with accessories) were the two pieces of equipment that made it possible during the operation phase to unload the core of the spent fuel assemblies and to load the core with new fuel assemblies. During the loading/unloading phase, the cylinder was inserted into the integrated machine; During the maintenance phase, the cylinder was installed in the maintenance station, its current storage area (room 5HN0902 on level 9 of the BCI, +105m). An arm, called a compass arm, is connected to the integrated machine and allowed the connection of power, fluids and control to the machine.

The integrated machine is positioned in room 5HR1401 on the reactor slab of the nave pile on level 14 (+132.30 m). This room will be dedicated to the operations of cutting the equipment in monoblock, with the installation by the Licensee of a workshop above the box.

The purpose of the service is to carry out design studies, execution studies, manufacturing and supply, testing and dismantling work for all the electromechanical equipment constituting the Integrated Machine and the DPM cylinder. The various unit equipment stored in the maintenance station, at different levels (valves, winches, ducts) must also be evacuated and conditioned.
