In the case of a special arrangement of trace-saving treatment, the areas that are usually touched by the perpetrator (steering wheel, door handles, handlebar handles, tank) should remain as untouched as possible. If contact is unavoidable, unused rubber or silicone gloves (disposable gloves) must be used. In appropriate weather conditions (precipitation, etc.), the vehicle must be covered with an unused tarpaulin, handlebar grips should be covered with unused paper bags.

The salvage includes:

1. Approach of the rescue vehicle to the place of the event,

2. Rescue of a vehicle that has gone off the lane, possibly with special technical effort, and bringing it onto the lane. The recovery process ends as soon as the vehicle is back on the road. The further transport is then assigned to the "towing" process. There is no recovery if the vehicle involved in the accident and the towing vehicle are on the same level and no special technical equipment, such as when recovering trucks, is required. Wheel rollers, sliding platforms, pulleys and cranes are not part of the special technical equipment, as they are state-of-the-art,

3. Erecting, pulling or lifting vehicles that require the use of winches or lifting tools,

4. Making the recovered vehicle capable of being towed and / or transported,

5. Erecting and lifting of vehicles involved in an accident at the same height level in order to make them rollable again or to put them on a low-loader (e.g. overturned, burned-out or completely destroyed vehicles),

6. Recovery and transport of cargo and cargo parts if the seizure is ordered according to the Police Act or the seizure according to the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Rescues are to be documented photographically. The correspondingly meaningful photos of the scope of the work required to carry out the rescue (in paper or digital form) must be submitted to the authorities in the course of the settlement of a rescue measure.

Photographs and videos of towing, securing and recovery measures initiated by the client may not be published.
