The subject of this tender is the procurement of a GPU cluster with an Infiniband network. The GPU cluster consists of 2 servers with 8 GPU each (lot 1) and 3 servers with 3 GPU each and 2 PCIe GPU servers (lot 2). Lot 2 includes GPUs as well as Infiniband switches and HBAs.

The servers are installed in the central server room of the TU ilmenau. The server room can be reached on the ground floor. The 19 inch racks for these servers are available. Sufficient electrical connections are available for these GPU servers. Gigabit network ports are also available for these servers.

Lot 1 involves the procurement of 2 GPU servers with 8 GPUs each. The GPUs are connected by a high-performance SXM4 interconnect. Each GPU contains 40 GB of memory. Each GPU server contains 1 terabyte of main memory (RAM) and 2 CPUs. The connection to the Infiniband network takes place in each server with 8 single-port HDR 200 HBAs and an Infiniband Dual Port HDR 200 HBA. NVMe and M2.NVMe are used for storing local data and for the operating system.

Lot 2 consists of 6 items.

In position 1, 3 GPU servers with 4 GPU each are procured. The GPUs are connected by a high-performance SXM4 interconnect. Each GPU contains 40 GB of memory. Each server contains 512 GB of main memory (RAM) and 2 CPUs. The connection to the Infiniband network takes place in each server with an Infiniband single-port HDR 200 HBA. NVMe and M2.NVMe are used for storing local data and for the operating system.

In position 2, 2 GPU servers are obtained that can accommodate at least 8 graphics cards via the PCI -E 4.0 x16 interfaces. This GPU server contains 512 GB of main memory and 2 CPUs. The connection to the Infiniband network is made with a single-port HDR HBA. NVMe and M2.NVMe are used for storing local data and for the operating system.

Graphics cards with a PCI-E 4.0 x16 interface are listed in position 3.

In positions 4 and 5, an Infiniband HDR switch and an Inifiniband EDR switch including Infiniband EDR and HDR connection cables are purchased.

In position 6 an Infiniband HDR100 adapter is purchased.
