The aim of the contract is to supply the European Union’s Civilian CSDP Missions, EU Special Representatives and other CFSP-funded entities, with the IT equipment necessary for their proper functioning. This should allow the above-mentioned entities access to a standardised and easily available set of assets and supplies. Furthermore, in order to allow newly created CFSP entities to reach initial operational capability quickly and in line with the stipulation by EU Member States to be able to launch a new CSDP Mission of up to 200 personnel in any area of operation within 30 days after adoption of a Council decision, emphasis will be put on rapid availability and delivery of the assets and equipment. The IT equipment shall be provided to 21 CFSP entities (11 EU Civilian Common Security Defence Policy Missions, 9 European Union Special Advisors and 1 other CFSP entity).
