Contracting authority i.e. Joint Authority of the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (hereinafter referred to as ‘HUS’) is requesting tenderers to submit a tender in accordance with this call for tenders and annexes thereto of a Wide-field Pediatric Ophthalmic Imaging and Angiography System especially suitable for detecting premature newborns and patients in prone position under general anesthesia. In addition to the system, the object of the procurement includes lamps.

The object of the procurement includes also the following additional procurement options:

— HUS has an option of purchasing one (1) additional system with the same features. HUS decides on the exercise of the option with a separate decision,

— HUS has the ability to conclude a maintenance contract after the warranty period of the system. HUS decides on the exercise of the option with a separate decision.

The object of the procurement is one (1) digital wide-field imaging and angiography system suitable for especially wide-field imaging of the fundus of the premature newborns and patients in prone position under general anesthesia. System will be used mainly in the surgical departments of the Pediatric Unit of the Eye and Ear Hospital, New Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital.

Wide-field photographs and fluorescein angiography (FAG) are essential in the diagnosis, treatment planning and disease monitoring of retinal diseases of the premature newborns, retinoblastoma and other retinal diseases occuring in children.

In addition to the system, the object of procurement consists of the device consumables (lamps) for which an indefinite contract will be signed with the selected supplier. The contract is intended to cover the entire life cycle of the system.
