Assignment Description.
The assignment includes biological (fish and bottom fauna) as well as water chemical surveillance of the effect of stop using lime in selected locations. The surveillance service shall be implemented in accordance with the Guideline 02:2013 — Classification of environmental conditions in waters. The contracting authority will be responsible for finding suitable locations for stations where surveys have not been previously executed. Where equivalent surveys have been previously executed, the same stations shall be used, if possible. Accredited laboratories shall be used and the analyses shall be implemented in accordance with the prevailing Norwegian Standard.
The assignment includes collection of water chemistry, biological materials/data and other relevant information. The contract period is for the field seasons 2015 and 2016. The option includes the field seasons 2017 and 2018. The water chemical results shall be continuously reported to the contracting authority and associations/organisations that carry out the water sampling.
The results shall be evaluated in relation to relevant publications and other materials made available through the contracting authority. For each location, a possibly re-acidification shall be evaluated. This shall be based on water chemistry and biological evaluations.
