The Oldenburg-East Frisian Water Association (hereinafter referred to as OOWV) is a public corporation and one of the 10 leading companies in the water industry in Germany.
The supply of fresh drinking water to private customers, municipalities and companies, as well as the sustainable, professional disposal of wastewater, is the responsibility of the OOWV. The association area of the OOWV is made up of various branch offices. These consist of operating sites, waterworks and sewage treatment plants, which are distributed throughout the association's territory. Founded in 1948, the OOWV now supplies around 1 million customers with drinking water and disposes of waste water in its 7,860 km2 association area.
