Construction of a central pathology in the hall of an existing supply and logistics centre

In a section of Vivantes' supply & logistics centre in Berlin, which was built in 2021, premises for a central pathology are to be built. These include, in particular, laboratories and storage rooms as well as office and archive rooms. The existing building is in large parts a hall, which must be adapted structurally accordingly, in particular by the addition of further floor levels.

The area of the supply and logistics centre, which is not included in the scope of the project, primarily includes office, storage and technical space that has been occupied and will be in operation during the implementation of the central pathology measure. Individual rooms in the sub-area to be converted are used and are to be integrated into the conversion with the existing function (e.g. safety power supply), other rooms are used, but can be changed in the course of planning the central pathology (e.g. recreation room on the 1st floor). It should be noted that the operation of the used part of the supply & logistics center will be affected as little as possible by the construction project.

The building is located in the area between the Berlin-Spandauer Shipping Canal and the Old Berlin-Spandauer Shipping Canal, and thus in the water protection area.

Separate specialist planning offices are commissioned for the technical equipment ELT, HLS and medical technology.
