The clients intend to introduce a Clinical Data Repository (CDR) as part of the funding under the Hospital Future Act ("KHZG") - Funding Act 6. This stores structured and semantically annotated medical data such as diagnoses, findings, medications, laboratory and vital signs, CAVE data from different systems and also makes them available for downstream processes and systems. To achieve this goal, it is imperative that a CDR supports all necessary communication standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, xDT, etc.) and medical order systems (ICD, OPS, LOINC, SNOMEDCT, etc.).

On the one hand, this will create the necessary and legally prescribed interoperability capability and, on the other hand, it will enable the institutions to build up a complete and quality-assured patient data record and to make it available to all internal and external stakeholders and processes in compliance with data protection and security.
