The client plans to migrate existing SAP HANA environments for its customers to new systems and replace existing systems in the coming years. This requires a storage system solution for both productive and test operation, which is to be delivered by a contractor and handed over to the client as ready for operation. For this purpose, a framework contract is to be concluded with a contractor that includes the required products and services.

It is planned to procure storage system solutions as part of a TDI system architecture for SAP HANA. The aim of the project is to establish high-performance and scalable solutions that meet the high requirements in terms of operational reliability, usability and functionality in a heterogeneous environment, taking into account the dynamics of the systems to be integrated and the constantly increasing volumes of data. These aspects are also due to the desired form of a framework contract, which enables the client to procure additional systems at short notice over the term in line with the respective current requirements.

The client plans an initial release of a storage system solution and further call-offs within the contract period. The following services are required within the releases:

- Delivery of storage-system components on demand

- Installation of systems and components and integration into the client's existing IT infrastructure

- Maintenance and support services to maintain operation

- Delivery of systems and components to extend minimum calls

- Services as required to further develop the system

The client attaches great importance to functional, high-performance, highly available and operational complete solutions that are provided by the contractor on time.

As a result of this tender, a framework contract based on VOL/B and EVB-IT system supply contract for the procurement of the products and services mentioned is to be concluded between Mobil ISC GmbH, hereinafter referred to as client (AG), and a bidder, hereinafter also referred to as contractor (AN).

Framework agreement SAP HANA Storage - RVH2022

The client plans to migrate existing SAP HANA environments for its customers to new systems and replace existing systems in the coming years.

With the implementation of the project, the client pursues the following goals:

- Ensuring the operation of certified production environments while using cost-optimized hardware

- Flexibility with regard to the use of high-performance hardware, if necessary by moving systems and environments according to the availability of innovations

- Ensuring service level agreements by using optimized recovery strategies

- Increasing the performance of database systems for SAP applications

In order to optimally support operations, it is necessary to align the IT system for the coming years, taking into account the following requirements:

- Provision of a certified storage infrastructure for SAP HANA

— Creation of a hardware platform with powerful and manufacturer-supported version versions

— replacement of existing structures

— Introduction of new services for the client's customers

- Ensuring the required availability and increasing performance and scalability

o Maintain and further expand the security of IT infrastructure services

o Design of the IT infrastructure solution for the next few years - it must be possible to “grow” with it

o Use of product functionalities to ensure availability

- Increase flexibility and lower total cost of ownership

— Increasing the level of automation

— Use of management systems for monitoring and reporting

— Design of fault-tolerant overall solutions

— The entire system must be simple, effective and self-optimizing, and also remain manageable with the existing human resources.

In addition to technical improvements in terms of performance, scalability, effectiveness and availability, the following important factors are decisive for the overall success of the project:

- The functionalities currently used and the level of automation already achieved in the provision and monitoring of IT structures must be maintained or improved.

- IT employees must be able to effectively manage the entire IT structures.

- By using the TDI architecture for SAP HANA, dependencies on specific solutions from manufacturers should be largely avoided.

- The planned solutions are intended to offer investment security with regard to the systems and components purchased.

Flat-rate releases are already predefined within this framework agreement. In addition to the requested delivery services for system components, services for design, rack installation, commissioning and installation, instruction, documentation, service and support are also requested.

- Flat-rate retrieval module1:

— Storage system solution consisting of 2 individual systems, each with at least 200 TB usable capacity without mechanisms for data reduction and data compression

— Calling takes place at the start of the framework contract

- Flat-rate retrieval module2:

— Expand storage-system solution by at least 200 TB per individual system to at least 400 TB of usable capacity

— Call-up takes place 12 months after the start of the framework contract

— minimum call

- Flat-rate retrieval module3:

— Expand storage system solution by at least 200 TB per individual system to at least 600 TB of usable capacity

— Call-up takes place 24 months after the start of the framework contract

— Optional retrieval

If necessary, further releases and additional services will be made as single releases as required and on request.
