RAL space, a department within STFC, has been working with the European Space Agency (ESA) to build the SPectral Imaging of the Coronal Environment (SPICE) Instrument as part of the science payload for the solarorbiter mission. This contract is for the continued design and build of the Detector Assembly, which will form part of the SPICE instrument.
