Line 510.2: School transport Korbach - Dehringshausen - Freinhagen - Waldeck

Line 550: Korbach – Medebach

Line 510 acts as a connection between Bad Wildungen and Korbach and secures the connection to Waldeck. Furthermore, the respective districts will be connected to central locations. A seasonal connection to the Edersee region, or the Edersee barrier wall, is also guaranteed. For this purpose, regular journeys are routed via the Ederseerandstraße. Traffic to/from secondary schools in the service corridor is also a focus of the line, so facilities at stops in the core towns of Bad Wildungen and Korbach as well as schools in Bad Wildungen (Ense Schulzentrum, Gymnasium, Holzfachschule) and Korbach (Louis-Peter-Schule, KBS) are served as needed. This is supported by lines 510.1 and 510.2, whose services are completely geared to the needs of the students in the service corridor.

In a westerly direction, line 550 as a regional bus fulfils the function of lengthening the service axis, which is achieved by connecting the regular runs of the line with line 510. As a cross-district connection to the Hochsauerland district, it also serves traffic to/from the secondary schools in Korbach. Parts of the transport service are therefore geared towards the needs of the pupils.

From the start of operation, the services can be provided according to the schedule with 17 vehicles (16 standard solo buses category A, 1 standard articulated bus cat. B) and in an average calendar year with rounded 1,211,465 Nkm (commercial vehicle kilometres) and rounded 30,883 scheduled hours p.a.

In addition to the regional line 510, which serves the areas of tourist interest between Sachsenhausen and Affoldern, line 515 with connections in Sachsenhausen and Affoldern ensures the basic service in this transport corridor for the municipalities of Waldeck, Netze and Buhlen on all days of the week.

The local bus line 518 is the basic service every day of the week in the touristically very important region on the Edersee and is connected to the bus lines 510 Korbach – Bad Wildungen and 515 Sachsenhausen – Affoldern in Affoldern every two hours.

Lines 512, 513, 514 and 517 focus on connecting the communities with the important school location of Bad Wildungen with a total of 12 schools. In addition, the municipalities of Giflitz with about 800 school children at primary and comprehensive school and Sachsenhausen with the middle school, which is attended by about 500 school children, are important destinations in the line bundle.

During the school holidays in the tourist season from the beginning of April to the end of October, line 516 will serve additional public-facing destinations in the southern Kellerwald. The line has connections to lines 510, 515 and 518 in Affoldern and to line 521 in Frankenau.
