The commissioners are seeking a provider to deliver services from the Nottingham Treatment Centre and will cover elective care across the following specialties:
1) Gynaecology;
2) Colorectal Surgery;
3) Dermatology;
4) Endocrinology;
5) Gastroenterology;
6) General Surgery;
7) Hepatology;
8) Orthopaedics;
9) Respiratory;
10) Rheumatology;
11) Pain Management L3;
12) Urology;
13) Vascular Surgery.
NHSE The following Services — in the remit of NHS Specialised Commissioning — are also within the scope of this Procurement (subject to final approval):
1) Specialist skin cancer service;
2) Colorectal Faecal Incontinence.
The service will deliver the aims by:
— having agreed, clear evidence-based pathways and protocols (that comply with national/local guidance),
— mandating the use of standardized referral templates,
— having clinical triage of referrals,
— providing Advice and Guidance ahead of referral,
— providing feedback on referrals received,
— providing clinical educational sessions (both in the provider's own organization and beyond),
— providing opportunities for generalist shadowing specialist clinicians,
— using Patient Decision Aids (PDAs) and other quality patient information,
— taking a multidisciplinary approach to patient management,
— promoting Self-Care and Making Every Contact Count (MECC),
— utilizing technology to support Service Users and Clinicians,
— adhering to national and local service standards,
— adhering to national and local targets,
— adopting the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) methodology,
— meeting Service Users physical, psychological and emotional needs,
— developing “proof of concept” pilots with commissioners, around alternative models of provision,
— providing access to high-quality interpreting and translation services for service users, and
— working with other local health economy providers and clinicians to the benefit of the local population.
