name: New Courthouse Solution in Bergen,
tenders for safety, health and work environment coordinator services (SHA) for the engineering design stage (KP) and the execution stage (KU) of the project.
Bergen Courthouse is a monumental building from 1933 designed by the architect Egil Reimers, and it takes up a block at Tårnplassen. The building is dilapidated and not very functional. A rehabilitated and reconstructed courthouse will contribute to more efficient case proceedings and increased security for the users and the employees in the courthouse. The building is approximately 13,000 m2 GFA spread over six floors plus basement and loft. The building is protected in accordance with the regulation pursuant with "Kulturminneloven" ("the Cultural Memorial Act dated 18.11.2014, and ammended 30.9.2021. The preservation includes both the exterior, parts of the interior, as well as customized furniture and loose fixtures.
On behalf of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Statsbygg carried out a preliminary project for the renovation and reconstruction of Bergen Courthouse in collaboration with HENT AS, for the period 2021-2023.
The contract involves:
- K201 Turnkey contract with collaboration (partnering phase 2 - detailed engineering design and execution) - the KP and KU coordinator
- User equipment contracts, e.g.
- ITV
- Access control
- Furnishing
The consultant shall be the SHA coordinator for engineering design (KP), cf. §§ 13-14 of the Construction Client Regulations and the SHA coordinator for execution (KU), cf. Sections 13-15 of the Construction Client Regulations. Requirements regarding the services to be provided are given in the attached form "Byggherreforskriften - oppgavefordeling" (the Construction Client Regulations - allocation of tasks").

The assignment includes up to an average of 50% position and shall be executed by one person and paid by hours spent. The scope of the need will vary over time and is assumed to last until 2027. A good deal of attendance on construction sites must be expected.
