Creation of a VR reconstruction of the Kantsche Königsberg according to the latest technologies/technology, including the establishment of operational readiness on playback hardware to be provided by the client

A virtual world of experience in Königsberg in the age of enlightenment with virtual philosophical excursions into Kant's world of thought.

In this context, a VR reconstruction of the city of Königsberg, developed according to the latest technology (“state of the art”), forms part of the city of Königsberg in the Age of Enlightenment with virtual levels of specialization on the spirit of the times (i.e. the political, social and scientific changes) of its era, as well as interpretations selected central idea of Kantian philosophy forms a fundamental mediation element of the exhibition.

The old Königsberg was destroyed in 1944/45. After the Second World War, a new city emerged in the Soviet, later Russian Kaliningrad Oblast, which today has hardly any references to the original cityscape.

A virtual visit to Kant's Königsberg is intended to take visitors on an imaginary journey into space and time, on which they can playfully approach Kant, his ideas and his era. Virtual reality will enable the exhibition audience to compare today's Kaliningrad at selected locations and create links to contemporary witnesses of the 1930s, which are still known and documented many times thanks to film material and photographs.
