The purpose of the contract is to provide geotechnical parameters and knowledge about the construction of dikes in Denmark, which are primarily located in one of the risk areas designated in accordance with the Floods Directive. These data shall be used for strength assessments of the dikes. The task consists of geotechnical drilling, surveys and analyses to determine geotechnical parameters for the structure of the dikes. The offer is divided into four geographical sub-areas (Jutland, Funen, Lolland and Zealand). A total of around 1,200-1,300 wells and surveys are expected to be carried out in the period 2023-2025, divided into around 425 wells per year.
National Alert System - tender for geotechnics 2023-2025The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) is tasked with building a system so that it is possible to warn of floods in Denmark in connection with various weather events. The Danish Coastal Authority contributes to this task by investigating the risk and likelihood of dike breaches. This means that a strength assessment of the dikes must be made, which is why there is a need for detailed knowledge of the geotechnical structure and substrate of the dikes.
