The requirement is for the provision of Infrastructure Maintenance and Support to the General Medical Council (GMC). The GMC currently has an outsourced arrangement for this service which they are looking to re-tender.
Support is required on the majority of the infrastructure, which consists mainly of HP Servers, HP SAN, Sun Hardware, Solaris Systems, Citrix systems. The main requirement is to provide 24 x 7 x 365 day helpdesk and engineering support for mission critical systems and various other support models for less critical systems.
Types of cover will include Server level technical assistance, Hardware Replacement, Onsite Cover, the addition and removal of infrastructure items (from the contract) at short notice.
The service provision would be across multiple sites including London, Manchester (2 sites), Cardiff, Belfast and Edinburgh utilising a consistent Service Level Agreement.
