The market town of Kösching is planning to renovate the “Kösching outdoor pool.”
The Kösching outdoor pool is an outdoor pool consisting of a 50 m swimmer pool including a diving pit with diving attractions (1 m, 3 m, 5 m platform, 1 m and 3 m diving board), a non-swimmer pool including a tube slide, and a children's paddling pool.
Total water area: approx. 904 m
Of which combi pools new: approx. 889 m
Children's paddling pool new: approx. 85 m
The planning of the project envisages that the existing swimmer pool including the diving pit will only be partially broken off (old pool head will be broken off with a cut) and replaced by a new combination pool in stainless steel, which has been designed with different areas for young and old. The diving tower, including diving boards, should remain as an attraction for the outdoor pool.
The existing non-swimmer pool including tube slide and the existing children's paddling pool will be demolished.
The "children's paddling area" is being completely redesigned and organized and includes a children's paddling pool with different levels, a splash area, a play stream, a new tube slide, as well as various seating and lounging options. The children's paddling pool and the splash area are also shaded by large sun sails.
A new ramp system on the south side of the children's paddling area not only ensures the barrier-free use of the two areas, the swimming pool and children's paddling area, but also integrates the infrastructure into this new path system, so that all areas in the bathroom are now accessible.
The swimming master's building is also being specifically renovated and renovated. Specifically, this means that the existing wooden construction of the swimming master's building, which sits on the existing massive technical floor, will be demolished. At the same place, a new timber frame building with a ventilated wooden facade and a spacious pergola is being built. The swimming master's room, 2 separate toilet facilities and a baby changing room are housed in it.
The bathing water technology for the outdoor pool will be completely renewed for the area. The new system is built with 5 filters for 2 water circuits. The system with 4 filters supplies the swimmer pool. A new surge water tank is required for the system. The piping is done with plastic pipes outdoors. The technology cellar already exists and is partly covered with the pool water technology of the indoor pool. The containers of the children's pool are renovated and reused. A separate circuit is set up for children's pools. The chlorine gas system of the indoor pool is expanded and used for the outdoor pool. The flushing processes are to be coordinated with the indoor pool system (joint flushing plan).
The existing seating steps at the swimmer pool will be renovated and made more attractive. The subsequent pool surrounds will also be included in this renewal and will receive new paving slabs, 2 outside showers and flanking new plantings.
