The city of Kassel is planning the construction of a new cactus house and wintering house at the existing location (marked as building G3 on the attached site plan) in the Botanical Garden. The new building serves to preserve and expand the existing cactus collection and as a show greenhouse. The two greenhouses (cactus house and wintering house) are to be planned in a design unit. The wintering house is also used for events (e.g. weddings) in summer.
