HUS aims to purchase a combined ERG- and FST device. FST (full field stimulus threshold) test is used to measure the sensitivity of the visual field by testing for the lowest luminance flash which elicits a visual sensation perceived by the subject. FST can quantitate vision in subjects who cannot be studied with conventional methods due to low vision, nystagmus and/or inability to fix. It can be used to monitor progression of a blinding disease, and potential therapeutic effect of a therapy. FST is being used in international studies measuring the natural course of inherited retinal dystrophies, and it is approved by FDA to monitor the therapeutic effect of Luxturna gene therapy. The configuration must includes a dark adaptometry module and a movable equipment trolley.
The procurement also includes device-specific consumables and an option right to purchase a maximum of two (2) similar device sets between 2024 and 2026. The use of options will be decided later. The agreement for device-specific consumables will be in force for a fixed period of four (4) years and thereafter until terminated.
A maintenance contract must be offered as a mandatory option. The implementation of the maintenance contract is decided separately.
