From the recruitment year 2024, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) plans to award training services as part of the vocational training of IT specialists specialising in system integration at the Bonn and Berlin headquarters.

The BMBF would like to train trainees (graduates of lower secondary level and upper secondary level) in the state-recognised training occupation "IT specialist, specialising in system integration" at both offices. The training is based on the "Ordinance on Vocational Training as an IT Specialist" of 28 February 2020 No. 9 p. 250. The theoretical parts of the job description as well as in-depth knowledge and skills in the areas of "communication", "cooperation" and "technical English" should be taught by a cooperation partner. The practical training is carried out in the offices of the BMBF. For particularly high-performing trainees, the training is to be supplemented by the provision of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science course accompanying their training with a resulting extension of the training period to 3.5 years.
