The purpose of the contract is to provide a service of six aircraft for defence against forest fires during the years 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.
The service will comprise the following missions:
• Extinguishing forest fires by throwing water, with or without retardants/foaming agents, as provided by the person responsible for the technical extinguishing management.
• Actively monitor, when ordered by the Ministry, the forest areas in order to detect fires, report their characteristics and launch the first attack if deemed necessary.
The service will consist of six aircraft for 4,320 days of service, with a total of 4,320 flight hours.
