A network-wide traffic survey is taking place in the Rhine-Neckar transport network. The award takes place in three lots. A maximum of two lots will be awarded per bidder. The lots include the following types of transport:
Lot 1: bus services Rhineland-Palatinate: approx. 37 million LinBef (bundles 37-51, 53-55, 58-62) Lot 2: Bus transport Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern approx. 11 million LinBef (bundle of lines 56, 57) Lot 3: Transport Baden-Württemberg approx. 27 million LinBef (bundle of lines 6, 14-34, 52, 63-74) as well as S41/S42 and RB8/RE8 The lines of the respective bundles of lines as well as the timetables can be found on the VRN homepage. For the final quote calculation, the client provides the timetable data in VDV format 452.
The passengers are to be counted and questioned in the vehicles. All trips per day type (MF (school), SA, SO) must be collected in their entirety at least once (counting plus survey). The survey takes place from 09.01.2023 to 13.12.2023 outside school holidays. The survey must be carried out using electronic recording devices. Clumping effects should be avoided.
The travel routes have to be checked for plausibility. The client provides a visa network for this purpose. The client provides the necessary distance information for the PKM calculation. The statistical quality for the parameters P and PKM must be calculated for the results.
The survey data sets must be extrapolated to the calendar year. The VRN specifies the extrapolation procedure. Count data from AFZS are available for about half of the line bundles. The VRN provides trip-specific tested and balance-balanced AFZS data.
The data must be handed over to the client as an access database by 31.05.2024 at the latest. The contractor receives a detailed database description. The contractor prepares a report that contains the main content, calculation procedures and results. The report must be agreed with the client and completed by the end of July 2024 at the latest.
