Telescopic sights. The Dismounted Soldier Systems Project Team (DSS PT) is looking for a Prime Contractor able to integrate and supply up to 22 000 Lightweight Daysights (LDS) and Close Quarter Battlesights (CQB) as currently supplied under the Future Integrated Soldier Technology Surveillance and Target Acquisition (FIST STA) programme. The DSS PT would be particularly interested in delivery of elements of the requirement in the current financial year but this is not an essential prerequisite.

The LDS model is the Specter OS4, manufactured by Elcan Optical Technologies in Midland, Canada. The CQB model is the FIST CQB (NSN 1240-99-555-2800), manufactured by Asset Shield in Charmouth, UK. The final, integrated system will be complete to CES as per the in-service standard (NSN 1240-99-839-6503).

The successful bidder will be required to source the sights from their respective OEMS, integrate the CQB on top of the LDS and deliver the final product to a UK mainland location.
