The purpose of the contract is to contract and subscribe the policies corresponding to the coverage of material damages and extraordinary risks -continent and content- and general and patrimonial civil liability, always taking into account the needs of the Museum, being essential a high degree of flexibility and the total guarantee of coverage of the needs of the Consortium.
Without prejudice to the specific definition of the characteristics of the service contained in the technical specifications, it should be borne in mind that it is a centre occupying an area of 70,000 square metres that includes outdoor and indoor areas, car parks, etc.
In this regard, the opening to the public of the Museum, the great variability of visitor flows and the diversity of activities and periods of operation, as well as the essential guarantee of the indemnity of the facilities -present and future- and what is contained in them or may be contained in due course, personal and material damage, Extraordinary risks, etc., are circumstances that make it essential to cover the risks inherent to them, thus continuing to comply with the requirements derived from the regulatory set applicable to the Entity.

Likewise, the object of the contract includes at no economic cost to this Entity the risk management consulting service and mediation and administration of private insurance policies contracted by the Consorcio as this provision is defined in this Specification. In this sense, the successful bidder will assign to this Entity a mediator agent with the legally required qualification. This service will not entail any increase, either direct or indirect, in the amount of premiums to be paid by the Consorcio for the policies contracted.
