The AAV and the city of Kreuztal are planning the renovation of the former part of the premises of a tube manufacturer in Kreuztal-Ferndorf to the west of the Mühlenweg and preparing it for residential use. It is an area of about 29,000 m² where soil contamination with mineral oil hydrocarbons, PAHs and heavy metals is present.

The tendered engineering services include the planning, monitoring and documentation of the dismantling of the standing halls and the soil remediation measures to be carried out. The services are to be provided in two phases:

Phase 1 (firm assignment):

- Dismantling and disposal concept
'
Review of the building pollutant register and identification of the need for updating, among other things, with regard to the Substitute Building Materials Ordinance and VDI Guideline 6202 "Polluted structural and technical installations - Asbestos - Exploration and Evaluation" (2021), if necessary evaluation of construction files, preparation of an investigation concept for supplementary investigations, work and safety plan, sampling of the building fabric, if necessary preparation, participation in the awarding and support of necessary External services, compilation of the results of the investigation and updating of the building/pollutant register as well as preparation of a dismantling and disposal concept.

Carrying out supplementary investigations to delimit the excavated areas, presentation of the initial situation, the measures to be carried out and proof of their suitability, the self-monitoring measures to verify the proper implementation and effectiveness of the proposed measures, the self-monitoring measures in the context of aftercare including monitoring, the schedule and costs, the preparation of a work and safety plan, preparation of the remediation plan for the Declaration of commitment by the competent authorities.
