The knowledge centre at the National Unit for Quality Measurement and Patient Safety is carrying out a national patient safety campaign, In Safe Hands. The aim of the campaign is to reduce patient injuries caused by the health service. The campaign is mainly aimed at the specialist health service, but it also includes selected areas in the municipal health service. The campaign shall assist the health service by improving the patient safety culture and by building permanent structures/systems and competence within patient safety. The campaign is organised around selected, clinical priority areas with improvement potential that shall be implemented throughout the entire campaign period. By implementing packages of measures within each area that are documented at both a local and national level, the campaign will show that it is worthwhile protecting patients from unnecessary injuries when they are in contact with the health service.

In connection with this patient safety campaign, In Safe Hands, a project manager is wanted who can keep a track on selected sub projects for the remaining period (31.12.2013). It is also desirable that the project manager assists with communication assignments. Some main assignments will be to prepare and sum up management group meetings, professional advice meetings, hold continuous contact with KS and user organisations as well as support the person responsible for communication in the work of newsletters, network cases, social media and handling the press. The consultant is required to have a permanent office place at us in the secretariat up to 4 days a week until the end of the campaign period 2013.
