The home distribution networks of this inventory are already in a technical state that largely enables the bidirectional transmission of triple-play services. The cable network of network level 4 (NE 4) of the inventory is predominantly the direct property of Gewobag at the start of the contract. The services to be provided include the establishment of FTTB campus networks and the partial modernization of the NE 4 coaxial broadband cable networks, partial FTTH, TV signal delivery to end customers including the supply of additional services under network use, service and maintenance of network level 4a and network level 4b and network level 4b, as well as lease these nets.

Lot 1

For the majority of its housing portfolio, with a total of approximately 63,000 rental units distributed in Berlin, the client will reassign signal delivery with triple-play services (TV, Internet, telephony) for 10 years, with the allocation in three separate lots. The home distribution networks of this inventory are already in a technical state that largely enables the bidirectional transmission of triple-play services. The household distribution networks of the inventory (grid level 4b) are predominantly owned by Gewobag at the start of the contract. The services to be provided concern the establishment of FTTB campus networks (network level 4a) and the partial modernization of coaxial broadband cable networks of network level 4a, partial FTTH, TV signal delivery to end customers including the supply of additional services (pay TV, Internet, telephony) under network use, service and maintenance of network level 4a and network level 4b and the lease of these networks.

After signal hook-up, a restructuring and technical upgrade of the house distribution grids (NE 4b) is carried out in accordance with more detailed requirements in the procurement documents. The FTTB campus networks (network level 4a) for the real estate properties are to be built by the bidder's property and, according to the requirements of Gewobag, as network owner from the bidder, starting from central concentration points (hubs) to the fibre-optic termination points in the buildings, must be used as fiber optic network in PTP structure configure. The hubs are located in gewobag objects. Fiber-optic network distribution points (NvT) are then distributed among the objects of the gewobag. Individual stocks outside the FTTB campus networks must be supplied by the future network operator via their own structures. On the supply and home distribution networks, the increasing requirements for bandwidths for end customers have to be proven to be guaranteed by the bidder over the entire term of the contract.

The contractor should be obliged to grant third telecommunications service providers access to the NE 4a and NE 4b networks made available to him for use within the framework of an open access concept. The open access concept is finally developed as part of the negotiation process based on the results of the bidder calls.
