The subject of this tender procedure is the purchase of ICT equipment for network services and related assistance and maintenance services. The description of the equipment required by GARR for a single mDC (mini Data Center, minimum calculation-storage module of the GARR-T Network Point of Delivery), technical specifications and functional requirements and operating devices themselves, always in reference to a single MDC, are described in the technical specifications of the race. The overall supply will have to include total resources to implement the implementation of a number of mDC instances suitable to cover the needs of the sites of interest in the supply, as described in the technical specifications for the race. Overall, the supply must therefore provide for total resources for the realization of n. 7 (seven) MDC.

The following services must be included in the supply of the equipment:

— the hardware and software installation service of hardware and software equipment and systems for the automation of management processes,

— the specialist assistance service and on-site maintenance of the calculation and storage equipment, for the duration of at least 5 (five) consecutive calendar years starting from the date of the test report with successful outcome of all apparatuses,

— the professional specialist support service of the manufacturer for the installation, configuration and management of computing and storage equipment, provided in stages as best specified in the technical specifications of competition, starting from the date of the purchase order. The professional specialist support service also includes the design and definition of the architecture of the McDc (see chap. Executive technical project of the technical specifications), the support service for the suite of hardware and software tools for operational management, the service for training in training-on-the-the-⸺- mode GARR staff jobs.

The above services must be provided by the supplier together with the equipment manufacturer, for the detailed description of the aforementioned services please refer to the technical specifications of the tender.
