The Authority is seeking the services of an architectural designer to provide a design team to develop the initial design proposals for the lighthouse and former keeper's cottages on St Mary's island at Whitley Bay to RIBA work stage 3 (phase 1), with progression to RIBA work stages 4 — 7 (phase 2). Phase 2 will only proceed if the Authority are successful in obtaining Heritage Lottery Funding stage 2 bid. The Authority reserves the right not to proceed with phase 2 subject to the outcome of the stage 2 Heritage Lottery Bid.
