Since the beginning of 2009, the GKV-SV has been operating a data warehouse environment (DWH environment). The data warehouse is the central point where data is stored and maintained in a quality-assured, historicized and audit-proof manner and made available to the specialist departments for queries and analyses in order to fulfil their legal tasks. Since 2009, the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds has been using a reporting and analysis environment from SAS for these tasks parallel to the DWH. For this purpose, there is an existing contract for a defined package of SAS components.

In order to enable the departments to perform more efficient and effective data analyses in their daily work in the future, the GKV-SV intends to modernize the existing SAS environment. Against this background, the GKV-SV is re-tendering the modernized SAS license package required for this purpose. Some of the previously used SAS components will no longer be licensed in the future, as they will be replaced by other components (SAS Studio under SAS VIYA, the SAS Enterprise Guide).

The GKV-SV also tenders the necessary installation, configuration and migration services for the modernized SAS environment as well as support services. The service will be put out to tender in two lots:

Lot 2: Installation and configuration of SAS components, migration and other services

Procurement of a license package for SAS software (rental licenses) as well as license for legacy environment for 6 months

Procurement of services for the installation and configuration of SAS components as well as migration and other services
